Specialized financing for agriculture with the support of the European Investment Bank (EIB)

Agricover Credit IFN supports the development of farmers and agricultural companies by facilitating access to financing with the support of the European Investment Bank (EIB), the financial institution of the European Union.

This financing is granted under the European InvestEU programme, with the objective of facilitating access to financial resources for micro-enterprises and SMEs in Romania. Agricover Credit will channel the funds towards agricultural micro-enterprises seeking to improve their productivity and adopt sustainable environmental protection practices, as well as towards supporting young farmers.

Who can benefit

The financing is intended for farmers and companies that:

• Fall within the category of micro-enterprises or SMEs, including Micro-SMEs;
• Operate in the agricultural sector;
• Carry out eligible activities and projects in accordance with European Union requirements;
• Comply with applicable legislation and environmental, social and governance standards;
• Are not in financial difficulty or in situations of exclusion, such as insolvency, bankruptcy, fraud or other illegal activities.

Eligibility is determined in accordance with the requirements of the European Investment Bank and the InvestEU programme.

What benefits it brings to farmers

Through this financing, Agricover transfers to its clients the advantages obtained through the partnership with the European Investment Bank. This means:

Improved financing conditions compared to standard offers;
Lower financing costs, including through a reduction in the interest rate, in our case by 0.25%;
Easier access to financing for business development.

The financial advantage is granted to the final beneficiaries in accordance with the applicable contractual provisions and EIB requirements.
