Product features and application
With the solution offered by Fornet Extra, we address the complete control of monocotyledonous annual and perennial weeds (Agropyron repens - creeping bentgrass, Sorghum halepense - knapweed, Setaria spp. - blackthorn, Echinochloa spp. - beard grass) in post-emergence complemented by the Osorno product for the control of dicotyledonous weeds.
Osorno is a selective maize product based on mesotriones from the triketone group, a systemic herbicide that affects the metabolism of carotenoid biosynthesis. It does not require the addition of an additional adjuvant.
Osorno is taken up by leaves or roots, then transported acro- and basipetal into the plant. The visual effect is whitening of the leaves and necrosis of the meristematic tissues of the affected weed. The first symptoms are evident after 5-7 days and weed death occurs after about 14 days.
Apply postemergence from 2 to 8 leaves of corn (BBCH 12-18), dicotyledonous weeds from sprout to 4-6 leaf stage, monocotyledonous weeds to tillering stage.
