Vlad Ster: "This fertilizer helped the maize to overcome water stress and it grew vigorously"

Vlad Șter, agronomist engineer at the farm SC Ceragrim SRL, from Mures county, received us in the middle of a corn crop on which phytosanitary products recommended by Agricover specialists were applied.

Step by step, Vlad Șter told what products were used in the culture.

In pre-emergence, Spectrum, a pre-emergent herbicide was used to control the main monocotyledonous and dicotyledonous weeds in the maize crop.

At the 4-6 leaf stage, Plonvit Active Maize foliar fertilizer was applied, specific for maize crop fertilization, providing macro and micro elements corresponding to the nutritional requirements of the crop. "This fertilizer helped the maize to overcome the water stress at that time and it grew vigorously," said Vlad Șter.

In post-emergence, the herbicide combination Fornet Extra and Osorno was applied. "The two active substances - Mesotrione and Nicosulfuron - easily controlled both monocotyledonous and dicotyledonous weeds in the maize crop. I recommend the application of these products due to their wide application period," explained our partner.
